My Unfair Advantage in the AI Era: Do You Have It Too?
I Didn’t Build This Overnight
When people look at what I’m building today: a digital publishing business, a lifestyle platform, digital products, and multiple income streams, it can look like it all came together quickly.
But it didn’t.
What you’re seeing today is the result of more than 20 years of experience layered across different roles, industries, and skills.
And now, for the first time, I have the tools to bring it all together.
Where It All Started
I became a fashion designer in 2001.
At that time, I was focused on creativity; designing, learning, understanding aesthetics, and building a foundation.
But over the years, my role evolved.
I didn’t stay in one lane.
I worked as:
- a designer
- a merchandiser
- a product developer
- a team leader
Eventually, I moved into the business side.
I became a strategist.
I led teams, sourced product development, traveled internationally, and built relationships across the industry.
I wasn’t just creating products.
I was building systems.
The Skill That Changed Everything
One of the most valuable things I developed over the years was the ability to think in processes and systems.
I understood something early on:
If the foundation is strong, growth becomes predictable.
So instead of focusing only on output, I focused on:
- structure
- workflows
- repeatable processes
And that changed everything.
Building for Others Before Building for Myself
Throughout my career, I have built businesses for others.
I worked on brands, products, and systems that generated real growth.
In many cases, I helped companies:
5X their business
5X their business
Not once, but multiple times.
And when you do something repeatedly, you start to understand it more deeply.
You don’t just follow a process.
You own the process.
Expanding Beyond One Industry
Around 2013–2014, I became a certified health coach.
At the same time, I developed a lifestyle built around:
- high-protein nutrition
- high-fiber eating
- long-term wellness
This wasn’t just knowledge.
It became part of how I live.
Over the years, I also naturally developed an interest in:
- stock market – which gave me the financial freedom to work on my projects
- home decor
- feng shui
- spatial design
- intentional travel
As a designer, this transition felt intuitive.
Everything connected:
- aesthetics
- structure
- lifestyle
- knowledge and personal growth
The Missing Piece
For years, I had the experience.
I had the idea.
I had even mapped out plans in my journals; what I wanted to build, what I wanted to create.
But there was always a gap.
Execution required:
- teams
- time
- coordination
- resources
And like many professionals, I was building for others, but not fully for myself.
Then AI Changed Everything
When tools like ChatGPT became available, I didn’t hesitate.
I was one of the early users because of my investments in AI stocks; I knew where this was going.
And the moment I saw what it could do…
I knew this was different.
I immediately signed up for the paid version. I didn’t want to deal with the unpaid version’s unavailability.
Because I could see something clearly:
This wasn’t just a tool. This was leverage.
AI Felt Familiar — But Different
What surprised me the most was how familiar it felt.
It felt like I was back in an office…
Working with:
- designers
- developers
- assistants
But this time, something was different.
I didn’t have to wait.
I didn’t have to explain things multiple times.
I didn’t have to coordinate across teams.
Instead…
I had tools that could execute instantly.
I just had to train the tools.
My AI “Team”
Today, when I work, it feels like I’m working with a team.
But that team is made up of AI team members and occasionally freelancers on Fiverr because they are exceptionally cheap.
And just like in my past roles…
I give direction
I refine output
I iterate
I build
I refine output
I iterate
I build
The difference is speed.
What I’ve Built Using AI
With this combination of experience + AI, I’ve been able to build:
- Elegant & Driven — a lifestyle blog covering fashion, wellness, mindset, and growth
- KRKR Books — 15+ high-protein, high-fiber books built on years of health knowledge
- Etsy Digital Products — seamless patterns and creative assets
- LTK Storefront — curated lifestyle and home decor collections

Even when I outsource…
I can still do everything myself if needed.
That’s the real shift.

Why This Is My Unfair Advantage
My advantage is not AI alone.
It’s not tools.
It’s not trends.
It’s experience.
Because when I use AI:
- I know what to ask
- I know what good design looks like
- I know how to refine.
- I know when something works.
AI doesn’t replace my thinking and creativity.
It amplifies it.
This Applies to You Too
This is not just my story.
If you have years of experience in any field…
You already have an advantage.
You’ve:
- solved problems
- built systems
- made decisions
- developed judgment
Now imagine combining that with:
- unlimited tools
- free platforms
- global reach
The New Reality
Today:
- You can create your own platform.
- You can start a YouTube channel.
- You can build a blog.
- You can launch digital products.
- You can create a personal brand.
And you don’t need:
- a large team
- technical expertise
- coding knowledge
That was the past.
The Only Thing You Need Now
You don’t need to learn everything.
You don’t need to master every tool.
You need one thing:
👉 Clarity.
You need to know:
- What you want to build
- where you’re going
- What your experience can translate into
- And most importantly, are you willing to put in the upfront work it requires to build something?
Takeaway
For years, I built for others.
Today, I’m building for myself.
Not because I suddenly learned something new.
But because I finally have the tools to apply everything I already knew.
So if you have years of experience…
Don’t question your relevance.
Don’t assume you’re behind.
Don’t underestimate what you’ve built.
Because in the AI era…
That experience is your unfair advantage.
