The Supplements I Actually Use (Even Though I Don’t Take Multivitamins)
If you know me, you know that I don’t take multivitamins. Nothing against multivitamins—it’s just that I like to make an effort to take most of my vitamins and minerals from whole foods. And so far, it’s working well for me.
I eat a well-rounded, high-protein, high-fiber diet. Lots of fruits, vegetables, and quality proteins and fats. But there are some supplements that I do add. And here’s the list of what I use regularly.
1. Whey Protein

I aim to get anywhere between 90 and 130 grams of protein during the day, to average around 120 grams a day on a weekly basis. While I try to get this from whole foods as much as possible, I do rely on whey protein to hit my targets. It’s simple, easy, and versatile—perfect for smoothies or even stirred into recipes when I need a boost.
2. Collagen

My morning staples: collagen in coffee and protein-packed smoothies.
Collagen has become a staple for me. I add wild-caught marine collagen to my coffee in the morning. It’s just one scoop, tasteless, and effortless. It’s one of those quiet habits that feels good for my overall wellness and skin health, and I enjoy keeping it in my routine.
3. Electrolytes
This is a more recent addition: LMNT electrolytes. I already get most of my minerals from whole foods, but when I increase my workouts, my hydration needs change. Electrolytes give me the balance and energy support I need, especially when I’m sweating more often.
4. Creatine
I used creatine regularly for about a year when I was lifting weights more consistently. It helped me with energy, performance, and recovery. These days, I don’t take it daily anymore, but it’s something I still keep on hand for periods when I’m training harder.
Recap
So that’s it—just four supplements, simple and straightforward. I don’t take multivitamins or a long list of pills, because my goal is to get the majority of nutrients from real food. But these specific supplements naturally fit into my lifestyle and support my goals: strength, energy, and overall wellness.
